Will Hawthorne

Will is an experienced and trusted corporate advisor with over twenty years of experience in M&A and corporate finance. He a partner at Sugar Capital, a venture capital firm focused on early-stage investments in the future of commerce.

Prior to joining Sugar Capital, Will was a founder and partner at Code Advisors which was acquired by Raine Group in 2023. At Code, Will completed over 40 high-growth private company M&A transactions. Prior to Code, he spent 11 years at JPMorgan, most recently serving as the Head of the Internet and Digital Media practice in the United States. At JPMorgan, he advised on over 70 transactions ranging from leveraged buyouts of public companies to sales of high-growth private technology companies.

Will started his career in public accounting at Coopers and Lybrand where he earned his CPA before moving to DirecTV to run their seasonal sports business.

Will holds an MBA from Kellogg and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Southern California. He currently lives in the bay area with his wife and has three children in college.
